Crime caper Lowdown Dirty Criminals is the tale of two incompetent young robbers, and the people who want to do them damage. James Rolleston (Boy, The Dead Lands) and newcomer Samuel Austin star as two friends who encounter some problems during their first robbery. Crime lord 'The Upholsterer' (Rebecca Gibney) sends two henchmen (Robbie Magasiva and Cohen Holloway) in pursuit. The third feature from director Paul Murphy (Second-Hand Wedding) is a rare Kiwi movie in the crime comedy genre. It was written by David Brechin-Smith (The Insiders Guide to Love).
