The Grass is Greener - Sam Neill

Television (Full Length Episode) – 1991

In 1979, Australian director Gillian Armstrong's movie My Brilliant Career introduced Sam Neill to a global audience, and his career took off. In this show about Kiwis crossing the ditch, Neill describes his career switch from making films at the National Film Unit to becoming a full-time actor. Neill's love for the Otago landscape of his childhood means New Zealand will always be home for the Irish-born performer. Neill chats in-between filming scenes for Aussie comedy-drama Death in Brunswick. Also included are excerpts of Neill in Plenty (1985) and acclaimed 1988 drama Evil Angels (both co-starring Meryl Streep).

Some characters just jump off the page and some characters are very, very elusive. The elusive ones are usually the people I get offered.
