Amy Street

Web (Full Length Episodes) – 2016

I've been watching you lots! And I'm watching it again on Monday.

– Celeste Osterman to Shortland Street actor Matt Chamberlain

We loved the short form documentary as a succinct way to tell a small aspect of a person’s life. Pretty quickly we no longer saw the disability but the individual. We made Amy Street to help show the individual rather than being all lumped in together as a group easily passed by.

– Directors Kirsty Griffin and Viv Kernick

I want to be noticed as a person, not as a thing, because a lot of people see me as disability and that's not right.

– Moyzee

You just don't know when your time is up, it's just there, you know. You don't know. So, you know, if I die when I'm 40, I die when I'm 40. If I die when I'm 160, well, so be it.

– Moyzee, on doctors telling him he'll die at age 40 (he was 39 during filming)

I just can't get enough of her. Every time I see her, I want her at home.

– Dave, on his fiancée Topsy

I can't help myself, I like winning.

– Jonathan, after winning a gold medal at the Special Olympics in Dunedin

I'm going to be an old bag...

– 00.43 Shortland Street fan Celeste on turning 32, episode one

He was alright, he's not that bad, for a bloke.

– 05.15 Celeste plays it cool about meeting Shortland Street actor Matt Chamberlain, episode one

It's been a big hit all over the Thames area, I've had people asking me for a copy of that song, because they like it.

– 01.10 Moyzee on his original song 'Cats' being a runaway hit, episode four

You've got to stay in your lane, mate.

– 02.39 Paul gives good advice to keen runner Jonathan, episode eight
