Shortland Street - 20th Anniversary Special

Television (Excerpts) – 2012

Since a spectacular truck crash just before the Christmas 1995 episode, Shortland Street has often pulled out the stops at Christmas time. The 90 minute 20th anniversary special — which won acclaim in May 2012 — was no exception. The full special included a helicopter crash which injured nurse Nicole Miller, a P addict loose in the building, a missing heart, and the return of at least six former cast members. In this excerpt, the hospital is having a busy night, Ula (Frankie Adams) reveals depressing truths at a party, and Chris Warner (Michael Galvin) is arrested for murder in his hospital bed.

I'm going to give him the naloxone now. If we need the bed I'm going to shunt him out into the corridor, and I don't care if we ever see him again.
