Atlas

Although pop-rock band Atlas were short-lived, they packed a big punch. Their second single 'Crawl' was New Zealand's highest selling song of 2007, and the group's sole album, Reasons for Voyaging, was certified platinum. Atlas began after brother and sister Ben and Beth Campbell met Kentucky singer Sean Cunningham in the United States, and invited him back to New Zealand to start a band. Beth and Sean supplied the vocals. Ben Campbell, guitarist Andy Lynch and the group's first drummer all came from hit-heavy Kiwi band Zed; as Ben put it, "Atlas was formed the week Zed broke up". Atlas called it quits in 2008.
