First Hand - Bowling Order

Joan and Riwa are the only female intrusion into the playing day. While the men stride the greens, they are paid to prepare a substantial morning tea and lunch for those without a packed one.

I've been to a club where ladies have come in with their shopping and plonked it down and ordered drinks. The wives of the members have done that. Quite illegal but I've seen it done. God help anybody who tried it here.

Politics and religion don't come into bowls. Everyone's on the same level so there's very little, shall we say competition or aggravation at all, and no boisterousness. I think maybe the age level's got something to do with that.
