Episode Two - Mōkau Museum and Gallery
The team explore the Mōkau community museum in the Waikato, which holds a treasure trove of objects dating back to the mid-nineteenth century land wars, including a taiaha and a mysterious sacred hair comb.
Episode Three - Tauwhare Military Museum
Presenter Brigid Gallagher and the team head to Tauwhare Military Museum run by enthusiast Andy Moreland. The museum is overflowing with artefacts of military history, but is in serious need of a clean-out and a more professional approach.
Episode Four - Rangitoto Museum Bach
The Heritage Rescue team travel to Rangitoto Island, where they explore the compact cottage museum. The museum is a snapshot of bach life on the island in the 1950s, but is in desperate need of more accessible and updated displays for tourists.
Episode Five - Buried Treasures exhibit in Christchurch
This episode features a different challenge for the team. In Christchurch, they set out to create a pop-up shipping container exhibit for children, featuring artifacts found after the 2011 earthquakes.
Episode Six - Thames Historical Museum
Gunfights on the street, famous tight rope walkers and mysterious ghost stories are brought to life when Brigid Gallagher and her team work on a new exhibit at Thames Historical Museum, at the bottom of the Coromandel Peninsula.
Episode Seven - Kawhia Regional Museum Gallery
The team breath new life into Kawhia's local museum, shedding light on national treasures ranging from Jurassic-era fossils to some of New Zealand's finest examples of Māori weaving.
Episode Eight - Revisiting Towns
Presenter Brigid Gallagher makes a return trio to all of the sites featured in the first season. Her aim: to see the impact that her team's help has made on the local museums and their communities.
