Inside Out

Television, 1998–2004

As presenter Bronwyn Hayward said in the very first episode, Inside Out set out to "inform, entertain and update happenings in the world of people with disabilities". Director Peter Coates, who worked on pioneering Kiwi disabilities programme Get Together, invited people with disabilities to develop the new show, then helped train them up in making television. The team of reporters included disability advocate Minnie Baragwanath and comedian Philip Patston. The long-running show finally went off-air in 2004.
