Say What You're Thinking

Katchafire , Music Video – 2007

from the album Say What You're Thinking (2007)

This song was the opening track on Say What You're Thinking, the third studio album from Katchafire. Originally a Bob Marley cover band, the Hamilton group have been performing and touring in Aotearoa, and internationally, for over a quarter century. In this laid-back music video shot partly in Hawaii, Katchafire switch between recording sessions in the studio, cruising along the Waikiki shoreline in a Chevy, and strolling through street markets marvelling at Bob Marley souvenirs and memorabilia. Director Adam Jones also worked on the music videos for tracks 'Working' and 'Love Letter' from the same album.

I got a call one day saying "do you want to do a music video for Katchafire?". I'm like "yeah, sounds good. What are they thinking of?" Answer: "They want to capture a gig in Hawaii next week as part of it — you keen?"'. Well that sealed the deal...
