I STILL can't get enough of this song!! It broke me then and still breaks me now. Also can anyone tell me who the actors were in that film clip please? The girl who played Maxine and the guys in the black v8 who took her away. Would just really love to know!!!

The car in the NZ version is definitely a Chevy. The car in the Aussie version looks more like a 1968-1970 Holden Monaro.

No Stu, The car that took Maxine away is a 1965 Chevrolet Impala 4 door sedan. More than likely a 327 V8.

I didn't know about this version (assuming the more well known version starting with 'Maxine' in front of the Coke sign was paid for by the Aussie record company). Gotta love the Air New Zealand plane and that Auckland Airport hasn't changed much in 30 years!
