Memories of Service 5 - Peter Couling

Web (Full Length Episode) – 2017

– Peter Couling
We used to love going alongside American ships because they had canteens and ice cream and all these things. We’d save our rum and slip a bit of rum across. Of course they don’t have any drink on board and they’d give us a case of bananas or oranges.
– Peter Couling
On the way down we found a little rock island in the Antarctic. It wasn’t on the maps and our captain said right! We’re going to claim this for New Zealand.
