Short Film (Full Length) – 1997
With ad-space during off-peak times being relatively cheap, Wellington-based producer Barry Thomas hit upon the idea of using these spaces to make very short films. Film as haiku, so to speak. From 110 applicants, a panel of judges selected 26 proposals from filmmakers, each receiving $500 in grant money to produce a film from 15 - 90 seconds in length.– Press release for the rADz scheme, NZ Film Commission website
