Neighbourhood - Te Atatū (with Oscar Kightley)

Television (Full Length Episode) – 2012

The godwits are an interesting bird. They fly all the way to Alaska and they come back to exactly the same place every year. – Presenter Oscar Kightley on the difference between Kiwi and Samoan culture

We got to know Helen and Barbara really well and it helped us connect with other neighbours, and we decided let's celebrate Neighbours Day.

– 25:53) Filipino Te Atatū local Edison Dumo, on getting to know his new community

Te Atatū, 10 k's west of Auckland City. Two distinct suburbs, divided by State Highway 16. Over there, beyond the motorway, on the mainland is Te Atatū South, and here on the peninsula is my hood. I lived here from the age of four, till I left home to work in the big smoke, Auckland City.
