Wellington pub-rockers DARTZ skewer the Kiwi love affair with property in 'Paradise', a high-energy single from their second album, Dangerous Day To Be A Cold One. The track starts with a cheesy '80s synth jingle for fictional business 'Paradise Realty' before a driving guitar riff kicks in and a full-blooded satire on rapacious property developers and suburban gentrifiers begins. The award-winning video reflects DARTZ's punk roots; the band throw themselves into the roles of dodgy real estate agents — doing deals, doing coke, rocking jet skis, fighting rats and flipping houses. The story unfolds in on-screen text as the video ends.
