Episode One — 'The Pact'
Old friends Mel (Nikki Si'ulepa), Debs (Anji Kreft) and Beth (Tess Jamieson-Karaha) are enjoying a pot luck dinner together at Mel’s house. They are also enjoying dissecting each other’s problems: Mel has an over-active love life, Debs an under-active one, and Tess still hasn’t come out to her mother. A pact is made, and the trio will meet up every Tuesday for a pot luck to check their progress. Game on!
Episode Two — 'You Promised You'd Try'
Mel is not enjoying her abstinence at all, and encourages Debs to get a move on finding a date. But it won’t be happening anytime soon — Debs is painfully shy, and still not over her ex. Beth tentatively tries to talk to her mother about her sexuality, but Eileen (Kate Ward) is not making it easy for her. This episode also features comedy actors Karen O’Leary and Paul Yates as Debs’ staunch co-workers Donna and Mike.
Episode Three — 'Do You Eat Meat?'
It’s Tuesday pot luck night once again, and Mel has arranged for young and gorgeous Kirsty (Anna-Marie Green) and Laura (Stella Reid) to join them. Kirsty and Mel are flirting outrageously — despite Beth getting in the way — but Debs can’t connect with Laura at all. The girls leave for a better offer (a party), as does Debs (a pizza). Beth and Mel are left to dine together and discuss their past. Debs talks meat at Hell Pizza with cashier Zoe (Tameka Sowman Vahatau).
Episode Four — 'Mixed Messages'
Beth has finally found Debs a date that she can connect with — the beer-drinking, comic-book-loving Sarah (Rebecca Gumbley). Mel has also invited young and fun Lucy (Chloe McCarten) and Emma (George Fowler, credited as Genevieve Fowler) to the pot luck, where Emma tests Mel’s dedication to the pact. Debs ends the night with another trip to Hell.
Episode Five — 'Lezza Dance'
Beth has a promising conversation with her mother, but has to hurry out the door — she’s got places to be! The group dinner has been cancelled this week in favour of a LGBTQI+ dance at a nightclub. Mel and Beth are ready to have fun but Debs just wants to drink in the corner. They meet “baby Butch” Bailey (Laura Harris) and confident, strangely familiar Anna (Rachel Aneta Wills). Previous dinner dates as well as Debs’ dry co-workers Mike and Donna make brief appearances, in and out of the club.
Episode Six — 'Drought in Southland'
Beth is going through a hard time; it feels like she’ll never be able to come out to her mum. At the Tuesday pot luck dinner, tensions are high between the friends — especially exes Mel and Tess — making it a strange experience for their dates Bailey and Anna. By night’s end, dinner and friendships have gone cold but two of the trio's romantic prospects are heating up.
