I am so glad that I found this film after missing it on TV last weekend. Having only emigrated to New Zealand a few months ago, it is a wonderful to discover such a talented photographer and the atmosphere conveyed by his images. There is so much empathy with his subjects but also joy. This says so much more about New Zealand than the tourist pictures.
