Style Pasifika 2000

This programme marks the first television special showcasing the annual Style Pasifika showcase, celebrating Pacific Island culture through contemporary and traditional fashion, music, and dance. The programme features more than 100 designers and 200 performers, capturing cultures and creativity from across the Pacific. Performers include KAOS, Lole Usoalii, Matthew Saunoa and a gospel choir. Fashion industry figures Denise L’Estrange-Corbet, Francis Hooper and Liz Mitchell are among the judges. The event was held at Auckland’s Aotea Centre: the hosts were Stan Wolfgramm and actor Stephanie Tauevihi.
