  1. The Chills


This is a great clip, not for its earth shattering concept, nor its production values or even for its performances (largely nonchalant). It looks miserable, nihilistic even. But — through luck or good management — it just seems to work, clinging to the dismal essence of the song, like a shrunken homespun. Observant viewers will notice that, not unlike the lonesome outcast portrayed by Martin Phillipps, a single bird can be seen flying back against the flow. Hats off to the wranglers.
