In this episode, Annabelle Lee-Mather looks back at all of the remarkable horse people and hōiho she has met during the second series of Hōiho. She talks to horse riders of all ages — from four-year-old barrel racer Holly-May Church, to 77-year-old kuia Taina Atkins — and gains insight into the love that people have for their horses, and the unbreakable bond between horse and rider. Lee-Mather journeys to some of the most remote and picturesque parts of the country — from Te Wai Pounamu to Tolaga Bay, to test her own skills, compete, and learn from the knowledge of experts who hold their hōiho dear to their hearts.
It’s said the most beautiful view of the world is seen from between the ears of a horse.– Annabelle Lee-Mather opens the show from a horse-lover's point of view
