Notes from a Fish

Desperate to complete his manuscript, broke novelist Leroy (Emilio Mancilla) discovers an unusual source of inspiration; a tropical fish named Kirby. But Leroy's creative breakthrough ends when Kirby is "fish-napped". In this trailer Leroy feels the heat from crass literary agent Kyle (ubiquitous comedian Tom Sainsbury) and teams up with Charlie (co-director, producer and actor Romy Hooper) a self-styled "nautical private eye" to scour the city for his "psychic fish". Low-budget crime comedy Notes from a Fish saw writer and director Tom Levesque take on camera and editing duties and was completed after a 10-day shoot in and around Tāmaki Makarau.
