S.U.I.T (So Us Is This)

Blindspott/Blacklistt , Music Video – 2002

from the album Blindspott (2002)

Taken from Blindspott’s debut album, 'S.U.I.T.' is a prime example of the heavy nu metal sound that helped the band conquer Aotearoa. The energetic Fight Club style video sees the group performing mostly in a cage, to an agitated crowd. At times the images appear to be coming loose on-screen. The song is unusual for including rapped verses, an aspect of Blindspott's music that was phased out by second album End the Silence. The lyrics include some coarse language. Blindspott broke up in 2007; most of the original members performed as Blacklistt before drummer Shelton Woolright's 2018 return.

....there are some graphics that imply {the band are] prisoners in a futuristic prison system or at least have just been arrested. Perhaps they’re performing as part of some sort of futuristic community arts periodic detention programme to assist youth offenders. If so, I’m not sure it’s working.
