Christchurch property developer Dave Henderson has faced bankruptcy, accusations of fraud, and 25+ tax audits. This comedy-drama from Jonothan Cullinane (Trifecta) is inspired by Henderson's bestselling account of battling the tax department over a $924,000 bill. Qantas Award-nominated Erik Thomson (800 Words, The Luminaries) plays Henderson, while a near-unrecognisable Michael Hurst cameos as MP Rodney Hide. Lumière writer Simon Sweetman praised the "superb" cast and Thomson’s playful performance.
So now you're more his... sleeping partner?– Inland Revenue Department staff member Steve Arnett (Jason Hoyte) questions Dave's partner Kath (Miriama Smith)
