Yoson An began acting on-screen in 2012 with short film Death Note, after working in theatre. He got his first starring role in a movie the following year — in David Blyth horror film Ghost Bride he was a Chinese immigrant forced into an arranged marriage. In 2017 he joined Rachel Griffiths in Australian miniseries Dead Lucky, playing a rookie cop dealing with the death of his best friend. An also acts in hit webseries Flat3, movie Mortal Engines and the miniseries version of Eleanor Catton novel The Luminaries. In 2018 it was announced that he would play the love interest in Niki Caro's remake of Disney animated hit Mulan.
