In the 2010s, the Kiwi songs that made it to number one showcased emerging talents and some major global crossovers. Lorde's progression from the North Shore to international success was signposted by three chart toppers, while Kimbra scored twice at the Grammys after being invited aboard by Australian talent Gotye. Savage's collaboration with Aussie DJ Timmy Trumpet got to number one in Aotearoa, and number three across the Tasman. Back home, Six60 and Avalanche City both managed to take the top spot twice.
