Very interesting documentary, shows the developments we have made since these early events. Disappointed not to see the yachting which brought my father with the team from Fiji although they di not compete due apparently to the water being too cold and the captain calling it quits . My dad stayed on in NZ and I duly arrived the following year.
How can we find out who marched into the stadium from Fiji - my Dad has passed away and my mother cannot confirm whether he was in the march past.
Heard on the radio this morning that this was the anniversary of these games. Hence the interest in watching the footage.

I still have programmes from the Games. Dad took me as a young boy to both Eden Park and the Newmarket Swimming Pool. As well, Dad, who worked for the then N Z Railway Road Services( who transported athletes and officials) obtained a team pin from an English athlete a treasured memento.

This is fantastic. I could see my late mother Lillian Parrington nee Preece (although not mentioned in the film) at the start of the 440 freestyle which she swam. Thank you.

I so enjoyed seeing myself winning the womans 400m freestyle - it's the first time I have seen it! I didn't realise it was such a good win! A friend from NZ told me about the film - thanks so much! Do you have footage of the medal presentation of the 400m womans freestyle? My grandchildren would love to see it!!
