Wow, watched the movie in Nelson (Suter Theatre) tonight, I'm in for DVD purchases, it will be Xmas presents. Well done, really good delivery which you could only ever gather having been there a while. Get in touch with NZ Geographic and Wilderness Mag, sell it through them maybe. An extraordinary achievement, congrats. Stu

My daughter is working @ Scott base for about 4 months at the moment. She recommended watching it so have been on the look out in our area. So went to see it yesterday when it finally screened at the basement theatre rotorua. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment, it gave me a very realistic insight of what antarctica is like & what my daughter Anna is experiencing right now. Will the movie be available to purchase?

I saw this and advised everyone I know in town to GO SEE IT. It's just absolutely mesmerising, two and a half hours just flew by, when the DVD comes out, I'm buying it. Good on you no. 8 wire Taranaki man for making such a beautiful movie for everyone and thank you so much, because as an ordinary kiwi I know I'll never be able to experience the place.

The best movie experience in a long time, and with the directors there in person too. So cold, dark but would be amazing to see those skies and stars. Christchurch even featured too. Just great, natural, unassuming and brilliantly filmed.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone.
Anna, I've found any of the Canon DSLRs that are less than about 3 years old all behave in the cold, the newer ones have much better battery design.
Lynn, I'm working on it.
Stuart, YES. The actual dates have not been tied down yet, but the film festival will be in New Plymouth, check out the festival website NZIFF.co.nz

Anthony Powell you've done an incredible job! I watched this at the embassy on Sunday and came out bouncing with joy as I'm heading down there to work this summer. If you get a chance to read this could you please recommend a camera to take down?

Yes, I saw this yesterday at the Embassy Theatre, it was fantastic. Made even more special to have the Director there to introduce the film and take questions at the end. Loved every minute of it!

Interested to see what it is like now. It is nearly 40 years since I worked at Scott Base.
