There’s little to do at night. We’re 30 miles from town and the neighbours are too close to visit often.

It’s a good life in the open air. We wouldn’t give you tuppence for a job in the city. But none of it's easy work. An axe gets heavy when it’s swung all day, and it is good hard timber.
