Episode One
Hard out skaters Jeff (Ben Castles) and Noodle (Victor Barlow) are late to school so miss a presentation from the Neo Corporation. They cross paths with Neo reps Brian (Owen Black) and Astrid (Katherine Kennard) and decide the duo’s weird vibes can only mean one thing — aliens are in Middledon. Jeff and Noodle infiltrate a town meeting where they charm the locals before being sprung by Brian.
Episode Two
Jeff and Noodle try to warn locals about Astrid and Brian’s alien status but Jeff’s parents brush them off. Brian plants listening devices in Noodle's home to gain information and tries to ‘charm’ the boys, but needs Astrid’s help in working out human motivations. Jeff and Noodle spy on Brian in his office, but will they muck up their chance to photograph Neo’s evil plans?
Episode Three
Brian and Astrid start a charm offensive to rid themselves of Jeff and Noodle. Tank (Kate-Louise Elliott) is stoked when Jeff is offered a job. Noodle encourages Jeff to spy on his new employers. Brian tries to get Noodle onside; Astrid oversees Jeff at the office. Brian has his alien mind blown by the music at a stall run by Stevo (Antony Starr), while Astrid has plans of her own for Jeff's mind.
Episode Four
It’s voting day for the Neo takeover of Middledon, but Gran Pekapeka just wants to play housie. Brian’s interest in humans deepens and Astrid warns him to stay in line. Jeff and Noodle disguise themselves at the polls but somebody clocks them. Gran challenges Astrid to a ‘winner take all’ round of housie. Jeff and Noodle chain themselves to their beloved skate park in an attempt to save it from Neo Corp.
Episode Five
Jeff and Noodle wake up in a mall and decide they might be in heaven — Middledon has been changed overnight after the town vote, and the boys don’t recognise it. At the new beach, Astrid has fun making the computer-chipped Jeff fight with his mate. The boys meet a group of local geeks who want to join the Neo resistance. Brian tries to infiltrate the group but is sprung, and receives some disturbing instructions from Astrid.
Episode Six
Brian and Astrid plan to manipulate the town’s teenagers by making Jeff a pop star. Brian takes over Astrid’s controls and influences Jeff, confusing his mate Noodle, who seeks out the beach geeks again. Jeff wins the rigged audition and releases the hit song ‘Skate Hater’, much to Noodle's disgust. Jeff’s first concert at the mall is interrupted by his angry parents. Astrid plots one of the skaters' demise.
Episode Seven
Brian removes Jeff’s faulty computer chip. Noodle fakes an injury to get into 'Wellness World' and meets a fellow resistance fighter. The Neo aliens scheme to place Jeff’s chip into a robot. Noodle tries to break Jeff out of hospital, unaware his mate has been cloned. Real Jeff meets clone Jeff, and Noodle interferes with Brian’s plans.
Episode Eight
Astrid and Brian’s TV takeover of Middledon hits mute. Anahera (Catherine Stephen) is thrilled to appear in an advertisement. Stevo steps in as director and hires two ‘models’ (Jeff and Noodle) whose anti-Neo message gets lost in translation. Astrid shapeshifts into a beach babe to boost her confidence and picks a fight with Anahera. Brian experiences human attraction for the first time. Stevo’s ad doesn’t work out as planned.
Episode Nine
Stevo’s directing ambitions are fired up. Jeff and Noodle steal the ad before it can air. Astrid fails to seduce Brian as he pines after her alter ego instead. Astrid, Brian, Stevo and Anahera hunt for the boys. Neo Corp decides that sport is the new entertainment. Jeff and Noodle beef up in order to ruin a gladiatorial rugby competition, but will they be so brave in the ring?
Episode Ten
Jeff and Noodle stink out their opponents, causing Astrid to change tack. Neo plan to win Middledon over by hypnosis via a teen Survivor-style TV show. With Jeff and Noodle on different teams, Astrid hopes to divide and conquer. Brian is shocked to find his evil clone ‘Bob’ by Astrid’s side. Two friends are pitched against each other in the final ‘kill or be killed’ challenge.
Episode Eleven
Rejected, Brian goes rogue. Noodle suggests he get even by helping him and Jeff escape the show. The boys realise Neo wants everyone to think they’re dead. They attend their own ‘funerals’ in disguise and attempt to expose the lie. Brian is excited to explore human friendship. Jeff breaks into Neo headquarters to get his skateboard back and ends up facing the music.
Episode Twelve
Hughie (Stephen Hall) and Tank plan to bust their son out of prison. Astrid threatens Brian with alien re-programming. Noodle visits Jeff and shares an escape plan. Brian is thrown into Jeff’s cell and they try to break out, before facing a much worse fate. Brian has his alien ponytail chopped off, and tells Jeff that he and Noodle had too much imagination for Neo’s brainwashing. Gran, Noodle and Stevo help Jeff and Brian break out of jail again but the plan stalls as Neo tampers with the town’s vibes.
Episode Thirteen
Brian explains the nefarious plans for Middledon, before heroically sacrificing himself to stop the energy-sucking black hole. The group sees a TV ad for ‘Middledon Museum’. Anahera gets imaginative to try to free Middledon residents from their brainwashed states, while Gran has a realisation about Neo’s spaceship. The Middledon community storm the mega-mall, and Jeff, Noodle and Brian are the last line of defence.
