In the town of Paua Point, there's no shortage of kooky characters. Created and written by actor Millen Baird, The Millen Baird Show features a rowdy bunch of small-town locals — the ignorant flatmate, the tiger mums of the local primary school, the guy who's always looking for a fight after he's had a few, and the neighbour who desperately tries to sign people up to his pyramid scheme. The sketch comedy show was nominated for Best Comedy Programme at the 2009 Qantas Film and Television Awards. Baird went on to co-create and act in Auckland Daze and Darryl: An Outward Bound Story.
