For many viewers Susan Wilson will always be Beryl - the character she played in five series of Gliding On, and its sequel Market Forces. Other TV roles included parts in Close To Home, Mortimer's Patch and as Aunt Daisy in Pioneer Women. She won the Feltex Award for Best Actress in 1982. Wilson was one of the founders of Wellington's Circa Theatre in 1976 and has had a distinguished career as a stage actor and director.
