Composer/arranger Victoria Kelly studied music at Auckland University and film composition at University of Southern California. She went on to compose for Kiwi features, many tending towards the dark or fantastical (The Ugly, Heaven, Magik and Rose). Her collaborations with electronic composer Joost Langeveld include Harry Sinclair's Toy Love (nominated for an NZ Film and Television Award) and TV series Being Eve. Kelly was nominated again for her work on Black Sheep.
I had an epiphany when I finally saw the pictures against the music. It was an absolutely rapturous experience.
– on composing for her first short film, La Vie en Rose
