Aroha Bridge - Series Three

Created by the multi-talented rapper, filmmaker and writer Coco Solid (AKA Jessica Hansell), Aroha Bridge had it's third and final series in 2019. As always, it follows twins and musical duo Kowhai (Jessica Hansell) and Monty (Rizván Tu’itahi), as they (kind of) develop their band 'Hook Ups', but mostly get into trouble with their whānāu. The pair are flanked by an eccentric ensemble cast, featuring the voice talents of such comedy stars as Rachel House, Julian Dennison and Madeleine Sami. A cutting satire, this season tackles topics like cultural appropriation in Hollywood, racism in education and corporate greed, all with the show's customary silliness and humour.
