At the time this documentary debuted at the 2006 NZ International Film Festival, Wellington's Windy City Strugglers were approaching their 40th birthday. Never a household name, the band's loyalties lay with the music, not the music biz. Early members Bill Lake (songwriter and "Australian draft dodger"), Geoff Rashbrooke (piano) and Rick Bryant (vocals) were later joined by guitarist Andrew Delahunty and bassist and music critic Nick Bollinger. Director Costa Botes gets behind the camera to tell their slow-burning story, from cover songs to creating their own brand of distinctly Kiwi roots music.
