Multi-instrumentalist Luke Buda makes music through many outlets; as a member of The Phoenix Foundation, with his Taite-nominated solo work, and as a screen composer. Buda, aka Lukasz Pawel Buda, moved to New Zealand from Poland at age eight. He began collaborating with Conrad Wedde and Samuel Scott at high school. Alongside founding The Phoenix Foundation, the trio have worked together on many scores; perhaps most famously with the music for Taika Waititi movies Boy, Hunt for the Wilderpeople and Eagle vs Shark. Buda's television credits include Until Proven Innocent and Wellington Paranormal.
