AFK - Series One

Web (Full Length Episodes) – 2015

Episode One and Two - Pilot 
The show kicks off with a double episode. A group of gamers find themselves stuck in a video game world, as the characters that they usually play as — There's Jack (Calum Gittins), Q (Mia Pistorius), Brendon (Grae Burton), Steven (JJ Fong), Vanya (Ivan Essin), V'Rugga (Dallas Barnett), Maybel (Ravi Narayan) and Amy (Hweiling Ow). Disoriented and confused in a chaotic new world, the gamers find themselves quickly making new friends, and new enemies.

Episode Three - Newbs
Q (Mia Pistorius) has a vision of two ghouls lost in the forest who fall prey to masked figures. Awakening from her nightmare, she bickers with her travel companions Maybel (Ravi Narayan) and Jack (Calum Gittins) on how best to survive in this new world. Meanwhile, Steven (JJ Fong) and Brendon (Grae Burton) have become prisoners, and are getting to know more about each other in the process — especially their lives outside of the game. 

Episode Four - Ninjas
Jack and Q continue to clash over what is best for the group and after setting off by herself, Q meets the formidable orc V'Rugga. Meanwhile, Brendon and Steven tag along with the cocky Vanya and his clan, and Brendon is busy processing a huge new bit of information about Steven. When Vanya takes Brendon out for a hunting lesson, the pair come across Q… but, will they treat her as a friend, or foe? 

Episode Five - PVP 
Maybel struggles with her new body, much to the amusement — and later dismay — of Jack. Meanwhile, the equally headstrong Vanya and Q make contact, and she questions his aggressive leadership tactics, especially his healthy arsenal. Their disagreement escalates to a physical fight, with Brendon and Steven as anxious onlookers. 

Episode Six - INC MOB
After Q escapes Vanya's clutches and returns to Jack and Maybel, they are asked to join forces with Steven and Brendon — but Q is reluctant. However, a shock attack from the Behemoth finally connects the groups. V'Rugga is the unexpected hero of the day, and he takes his role as Q's protector very seriously. Jack, Steven, and Brendon suffer another threat from Jack's angry pursuer Amy, whose motives are still unclear.  

Episode Seven - OOE
The duo, Steven and Brendon are struggling with their new travel companion Jack, but he might surprise them when times get tough. Q awakens from her post-fight blackout to discover she is in the surprisingly loving care of V'Rugga. Maybel tags along with them, and the more Q and Maybel talk to V'Rugga, they begin to realise he may be quite young... but just how young? 

Episode Eight - IRL
After surviving an attack from a stranger, Brendon and Steven are feeling more favourably towards Jack, and Steven even shares a rare moment of vulnerability. Q, Maybel, and V'Rugga are also reeling from a different traumatic event. Q tries to comfort V'Rugga as best as she can, but is struggling herself. Breaking down for the first time, she shares details of her life back home with the sweet Maybel. 

Episode Nine - Phat Lewt
In a fleeting moment of peace, romance begins to blossom between Q and Jack. Linking back up with the group, they are excited to discover an empty tavern — could this be their safe haven? After some mirth and merriment, they are shocked to learn there's actually a bartender in there. Meanwhile, Jack's mysterious pursuer Amy falls into the clutches of Vanya.

Episode Ten - NPC
The bartender turns out to be an NPC — Non-Player Character — but they still demand payment for their wares. With no payment to offer him, the group all get to work in the tavern to pay their debt. When their opponent Vanya crashes the tavern with his menacing followers, he and Amy have a big revelation for the group affecting how people feel about Jack, especially Q. 

Episode Eleven - PUG
Amy takes Jack prisoner, and now that they're finally alone, they might even resolve their drama. Meanwhile, Vanya takes over the tavern with force. He gives Q a difficult proposition. She needs to decide: will she put herself first, or will she stand up for her new friends? With the group separated and circumstances dire, Jack gives a rallying speech to his deflated comrades, especially appealing to the emotional Q.  

Episode Twelve - ZERG 
Gankers — gamers who strive to ambush and kill other gamers — are fast approaching the group, but they won't give up easily. New bonds are made as the various factions converge for this huge battle, which includes the use of magic! In the aftermath, the group mourn a significant loss and ultimately decide to stay together to pursue a mysterious lead...
