Synopsis

Who Laughs Last, directed by Shirley Horrocks, profiles enduringly popular New Zealand playwright Roger Hall. Three decades after the opening of Hall's Middle Age Spread the original cast return for the 2006 follow up, Spreading Out. Who Laughs Last explores the secrets behind the successful brand of comedy (27 stage plays, plus many television series and musical comedies) Hall has created over a long career. Features interviews with John Clarke, Ginette McDonald, Grant Tilly and Dorothy McKegg.
