Brown Peril - The Tim Porch Story

Short Film (Full Length) – 2006

AO
Adults only

Tim Porch (Josh Thomson) wants to be the world’s first Polynesian badminton champion — but a Samoan already has the title, so first Tongan will have to do. This mockumentary following Tim's troubled quest won the 2006 48Hours filmmaking contest. Requirements that year were to include a character called Robin Slade (an eternal optimist), a mirror, and the line “that’s what I’m talking about”. Newly hatched creative quartet The Downlow Concept would win the contest again in 2010 with Only Son — they picked up a couple of NZ Film Awards in the process. Josh Thomson and Ian Gordon took the main roles again.

A lot of shuttles in this game, more shuttles than there are at NASA — shuttlecocks, doing shuttles, taxi to the pub afterwards. Actually that's more of a taxi than a shuttle. Shuttle to the airport.
