The 48Hours filmmaking competition is an important showcase for young and aspiring Kiwi filmmakers. The 2020 edition was unusual by any measure; due to the restrictions of level 4 lockdown, competitors were limited to creating films within their own household bubble. Despite this extra hurdle, entries flooded in; 1203 films made it in before cutoff time. This animated winning entry from writer/director Sam Harris offers a hilarious fast forward into the future, with ageing 'millennial' parents getting schooled in outrageous new technology by their jaded son. The best line is saved until last.
