Moon TV (series four, episode six)

Television (Full Length Episode) – 2007

For their fourth season, the intrepid Moon TV crew set out to tour Aotearoa in mobile broadcast vans. The backbone of this episode is a roadside interview with All Black Richie McCaw, who takes in stride on-screen calamities, a scrum demonstration and a question about swallowing the contents of a lava lamp. Elsewhere a Swedish tourist watches on as Leigh Hart criticises the crew for having more tripods than cameras, and regulars Hamsterman and Speedo Cops (who face a dangerous runaway trolley) return. A Dragons' Den take-off features businessman John Palino, and a vacuum cleaner that makes coffee.

To a degree we have gone back to basics — getting on the road, having fun and meeting people along the way. Living with five grown men in a camper van for ten weeks certainly enabled us to grow emotionally, intellectually and to some degree sexually. If I could do it all again I would probably take two vans.
– Leigh Hart, in a March 2007 press release warning about the show
