Wella Fashion Collection 1996

Television (Full Length) – 1996

In this 71-minute blast from the past, the fashions of 1996 are presented in a multi-brand runway show, intercut with styling tips and designer commentary. Presented by Craig Parker, with appearances from bubbly hair stylist Patrick Cameron, the programme introduces the defining looks of the year — from 'Shine' to 'Naturals'. "Colour" is the buzzword throughout, with citrus shades of yellow, orange, and tangerine playing a big part on the runway, and bold hair colours encouraged in the tutorials. Many of New Zealand's stalwart brands like Zambesi and World feature, alongside a range of more boutique brands.

The inspiration for this collection came from all around the world . . . We mixed it all up, distilled it, made it uniquely 'Sister'.
– Fashion designer Kate Sylvester discussing her new line for the Sister brand
