REALITi

Film (Trailer and Excerpts) – 2014

R13
Restricted
We wanted to depict the modern urban landscape of New Zealand: the cities, and suburbs, the corporate interests, and the fears we import from overseas.
– Jonathan King and Chad Taylor
...a sober, serious minded science-fiction concept served in plain clothes. By downplaying its genre trappings in favour of a more grounded approach, REALITi delivers an emotional sucker-punch while still giving viewers plenty to puzzle over.
– Doug Dillaman on website Lumiere, 31 July 2014
We've heard that the powers that be have figured out how to suppress and alter memories...and this film plays with that disconcerting reality. Nathan Meister does a great job of being off centre throughout the film ... he's feeling things are slipping. He's trying to understand what happened to him, and navigating this bad trip is...well, the fun of this film. The more you hang in there, the more you're rewarded.
– Harry Knowles on website Ain't It Cool News, 20 September 2014
I honestly believe that the million dollar version (of REALITi) would look no different..and play worse.
– Jonathan King on the freedom of making REALITi on a low budget, Flicks website 6 August 2014
