I remember Russell Crowe as leather clad Russ le roq, when he ran the Venue use to travel in from Manurewa with the boys, we all knew the dreamer would never amount to anything!!

Oops I meant I think it's ironic, his band is called Roman Antix, and then he went on to star in and win an Oscar, for a film called Gladiator.

I think it's ironic he's performing a song called "Roman Antics" and he then went on to act in Gladiator which is Roman.

Pip succeeded Phillip Schofield when he returned to the UK with his family. She was a joy to work with, as was PS who has certainly done well. Russ first debuted on TV in NZ in '82 on Shazam! with a rockabilly band. He was a brash, confident 17 year old destined for stardom. Kudos to Irene and the NZ Onscreen for locating this rare footage.
