In the final episode of the first season of The Bachelor New Zealand, Arthur “Art” Green faces his biggest decision yet as his search for love narrows to two women, both vying for his heart — Matilda Rice and Dani Robinson. Before the final rose ceremony, each woman meets Art's family and joins him for one last date: He takes Matilda to a wildlife park, and later takes Dani swimming with dolphins; both evenings ending over romantic candle-lit dinners. Under the guidance of jeweller Michael Hill, Art selects a ring and prepares to make a choice that will change everything. The reality series was based on the US format, and first aired on TV3.
