Synopsis

This Intrepid Journey sees comedian Rhys Darby go on a Rwandan OE. In these excerpts Darby brings his his mix of affable dork and boyish pep to the busy streets of Kigali, before heading on a jungle adventure. Miles away from the New York office of his Conchords’ character Murray, Darby searches for critically endangered mountain gorillas. He's guided by François — a personable park ranger fluent in primate dialect — whose aping gives Darby a run for his money in gorilla impersonation. Darby is quietened by a sombre genocide memorial and ... a 200kg silverback.

Quotes

He's very big.
OK this guy's clearly mental ... but I love him. Up until I met this guy I really believed that I could probably do the best impressions of gorillas (certainly in New Zealand ... and definitely in Ponsonby).
