The Banker, the Escorts and the $18 Million

Television (Full Length) – 2011

In March 2010 ex ASB financial advisor Stephen Versalko was convicted on three charges of fraud, and sentenced to six years in prison. This award-winning docudrama recreates his crimes, from his decision to siphon clients' funds to cover personal debt to an increasingly extravagant lifestyle, purchasing properties and cars and gifting money to escorts who assumed Versalko was just good at his job. The cast features Cameron Rhodes (I'm Not Harry Jensen) as Versalko and Kate Harcourt as elderly client 'Evelyn'. The story opens with a recreation of the the fateful phone call that ended Versalko's deception.

It's not just the dollars that these characters got away with...it's all the faith and trust and the good side of people and the world is a safe and reliable place. I'm sorry, you got it wrong this time.
