Sway

Bic Runga

Synopsis

'Sway', the third single from Bic Runga's 1996 debut album Drive, was released in 1997, reaching number seven in the NZ charts, ten in Australia and 26 in Ireland; it even nudged the UK charts at number 96 and was notably included on the soundtrack of American Pie. Directed by Supergroove's Joe Lonie, the video is as laidback as Bic's gentle singing style — she waits outside a delicatessen while the man of her dreams stocks the shelves. Back at her place, the camera pulls back to reveal that she's been buying items from his store for some time.
