John Clarke - Funny As compilation

Web (Full Length) – 2021

This greatest hits compilation mixes comedy nuggets from John Clarke with tributes to his talent by other Kiwi comedians. The excerpts include Fred Dagg's TV debut in black and white (on a Wellington street), his beloved Country Calendar episode, an Elvis impression (in A Bit of a Dagg), and face-offs with Australian Bryan Dawe. Most of the interviews were conducted for series Funny As: The Story of NZ Comedy. The full interviews can be found here. Alongside fans like Oscar Kightley and the Topp Twins, there are tributes by Simon Morris, Dave Smith, and Helene Wong, who all acted with Clarke at Victoria University.

I just knew he was a star, because he was light years ahead of everybody.
– John Clarke's early acting colleague Dave Smith
