I first fell in love with the voice of John Rowles in 1974 at the age of 14. I had never heard of this guy before, in fact, I didn't even know what he looked like. 36 years on, I finally got to see him performing in Ipswich, Queensland and have followed his tours throughout Australia and New Zealand ever since. After 4 years of chasing my musical passion, I finally took the plunge and moved to New Zealand in 2014 so that I could further contribute to the making of his music. John has such a great love and enthusiasm for life and for making people happy. He's bursting with energy and ideas and you never know what he'll come up with next or even guess the places where he'll perform. He's an extraordinary man and a true professional at everything he creates. I love him to bits and I truly don't know anyone quite like him.

I was 15 years old when I saw the first John album in a Milan (Italy) shop in 1969, I bought it and listened (singing with my bad english without lyrics!) many and many and many times! I missed John's show on Italian television...With many great sung by John I think that there are few very great melodic songs: 'Strangers in the night' and "My way" by Frank Sinatra, 'One day" by John, 'Father and son' by Cat Stevens and 'Il nostro concerto' by Umberto Bindi. Great John!

John and I had a relationship during his years in Hawaii. My name is Bev Brooks & when my parents came to Hawaii~ John asked for my hand~ during a show at The Royal Hawaiian Hotel. We never took it further than that but, we were in love and I have wonderful memories of our time together. Please give John my best wishes & Aloha.

I fell for his voice, his looks and a beautiful tenderness he brings to heart. All these years later, I still get goose bumps when I hear him sing, he brings tears of joy listening to him. Thank you so much for sharing your gift of looks and voice. Love you .

At last the complete stage by stage story of johns career. It was good to see he wasn't derailed by a marijuana conviction etc..like another huge talent of the 70's Bunny Walters... who was every bit as talented as John Rowles. John has a voice that is on a parr with the great Elvis Presley. If he had of stayed in london he could have had more mega hits etc... but he went to hawaii and enjoyed him self, fair enough. I admire John because he has looked after him self and is fairly clean cut. Squandering all the money he made... makes it quite clear that he did lose the plot big time, when others that havn't been blessed with such rare talent struggle every day to earn a few dollars. He could have invested the millions on projects for youth etc in NZ... but his legacy will now be just music and showbiz success . What a great doco!... and john rowles take a bow... you earned it.
