DJ Stipsen

Emmy-nominated cinematographer DJ Stipsen has shot documentaries (Erebus: Operation Overdue, Airports and Overtures), critically acclaimed drama series and TV movies (Harry, Siege, The Golden Hour) and two spin-off shows from comedy hit What We Do In The Shadows. En route he has forged key working relationships with director Justin Pemberton, Peter Burger, Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi.

My Dad inspired me about the world — he made me realise that it existed in a myriad of ways outside of my comfortable life in Lower Hutt. He also made me realise the importance of telling stories before they're lost. Most of his died with him. DJ Stipsen on his father Henri Stipsen
