Journalist and former rough sleeper Six presents the first in this eight-part web series, which offers a close-up into life for those sleeping rough on Karangahape Road. Six, who studied journalism whilst homeless, launched the K' Road Chronicle newspaper "for the street, from the street, by the street". She has a unique perspective on homelessness, one of New Zealand's most pressing social issues. After experiencing years without stable housing herself, she now shares her journey to finding a place to call home, coming out as transgender and finding her voice as a journalist — telling the stories of the K Road community through the newspaper.
